STS is a shut off valve with measuring point applicable on the secondary side in heating and cooling systems, and tap water systems.  It is available in DN 10-50.

System diagnostics
With the balancing instrument TA-SCOPE you can measure and diagnose hydronic systems. By installing an STS valve instead of a shut off valve you add another testpoint to the system and thereby make system diagnostics easier to perform. You can for example measure the differential pressure over a circuit.

Measure power
TA-SCOPE contains a method for measuring power.  To measure the power you need to know the flow and the differential temperature (DT) over the terminal unit.
Depending on the number of measuring points available, the mesurement is performed in various ways.
